ED CARTER of the great state of North Carolina. Co-founder and the first president of the Isaac Carter Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, the first chapter in the male lineage society consisting of predominantly African American men. Ed Carter served as the chapter’s first president named after his ancestor Isaac Carter a Forgotten Patriot of the Revolutionary War.
