Keith F. Anderson

2023 Honoree

Mr. Keith Anderson of the great state of Virginia.

He is the Principal Chief of the Afro-Indigenous Nansemond Indian Nation. A founder of the Nansemond Indian Patriots Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, the first chapter composed predominantly of Native and mixed-race American men. The Nansemond Indian Patriots Chapter is the first chapter of the male lineage society consisting of predominantly Native American members. 

Anderson's honor is conferred by virtue of his life work, and by descent from Afro Indigenous Revolutionary War patriot William Taborn Senior, a Private/Teamster with the North Carolina Militia under Captain James Saunders and Colonel William Taylor.
